As we inch closer to the start of the new school year, it’s time to make sure your child’s vaccines are up to date. By law, as a parent or guardian you are required to immunize your school aged child against certain diseases for them to attend school.
Medical Officer of Health with the Middlesex-London Health Unit, Dr. Alex Summers tells us their role in all of this.
Dr. Summers says if kids aren’t vaccinated, they can be suspended as a last resort.
Parents and caregivers are always given ample time to rectify the situation.
