A driver is facing impaired driving charges following a single-vehicle crash in Oneida Nation of the Thames First Nation.
Oneida Nation Police and Middlesex County OPP were called to the intersection of Oneida Road and Ballpark Road just after 10:30am on August 21st.
Police say the vehicle left the road and ended up in a ditch. The driver was taken to hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
The driver was later arrested and taken to the Middlesex County OPP detachment.
A Thirty-one-year-old, who police list as having no fixed address, has been charged with operation while impaired by alcohol, operation while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration over 80, driving while under suspension and having care or control of a vehicle with an open container of liquor.
Police are reminding the public to contact police right away if they see a suspected impaired driver.
