Strathroy-Caradoc will hold a public meeting at Council this evening to consider a proposed Zoning By-law Amendment for a property at 9221 Olde Drive in Strathroy-Caradoc. The application proposes amendments to the Official Plan and Zoning By-law to permit a private golf course with a clubhouse. The proposed clubhouse would include 12 two-bedroom accommodations.
The application also seeks to allow for an expansion of the existing hunting facility on the property. As part of the proposal, the existing home would be removed and a new residence would be constructed on a proposed lot in the southeast portion of the property.
The applicant is proposing to rezone that rural residential lot to an Agricultural Small Holdings, or A2, zone. The new lot would be created through a separate severance application, which will be considered independently by the Municipality’s Committee of Adjustment. The October 5 public meeting will provide an opportunity for residents and other interested parties to learn more about the proposal and provide comments to Council.
