It’s almost Halloween time and Strathroy-Caradoc police want everyone to be safe as they head out trick or treating.
Police Constable Katherine Lockwood says they’ll be out there patrolling the streets.
Lockwood says police have a bunch of safety tips for the kids, including what to wear.
Some of the most important safety tips from police include travelling with caregivers or in the buddy system, carrying a flashlight or having reflective strips, and watching carefully for traffic, not zig zagging from house to house.
It’s also important to remind your kids to only visit homes that have the porch light on to signal that they’re open to trick-or-treaters and to set a firm time for them to come home.
