Police are investigating a fatal collision from the weekend. On Sunday around 4am, members of the Chippewas of the Thames First Nation Police Service, Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and Oneida Nation Paramedic Services responded to a motor vehicle collision involving a vehicle and pedestrian. The investigation revealed that a vehicle travelling on Jubilee Road collided with a pedestrian. The occupants of the vehicle remained on scene. Oneida Nation Paramedic Services transported the victim to hospital with life-threatening injuries. The victim succumbed to her injuries later that afternoon and has been identified as 23-year-old Beulah Peters of the Munsee-Delaware Nation, Ontario.
