Strathroy-Caradoc Police have laid charges on three individuals following a spree of robberies and break and enters. December 12th, a theft of gas from Mac;s in Mt. Brydges, , hours later on the 13th two suspects robbed Strathroy Mac’s variety wearing disguises and brandishing weapons, later that morning, a break and enter at the Mt. Brydges Foodland, then a garage at a residence in Mt. Brydges, another break and enter to a residence a short distance away, and the getaway vehicle was reported stolen out of London. The spree didn’t stop there as suspects tried to steal another vehicle from a residence a short time later. Around 6am December 13th, Strathroy-Caradoc Police saw the reported stolen vehicle, engaged in a pursuit that took them to a residence on Chippewa of the Thames First Nation. Police set up containment in the area and two adult male suspects were arrested matching the descriptions given by witnesses and are
believed to be involved in the crime spree. The story still isn’t done as on Christmas morning, a robbery occurred at Macï¿½s Variety in Mount
Brydges where a warrant was eventually issued for a young person, whoï¿½s name cannot be released under the provisions of the youth criminal justice act. On January 2nd the Macï¿½s Variety in Mount Brydges was robbed again. After getting away the suspect was involved in a motor vehicle collision and arrested in a backyard and was determined to be the suspect from the December 25th robbery. As a result of police investigation, 20-year-old
Ronald Sturgeon, 25-year-old Darryl Sturgeon and a 16-year-old male are charged with a total of 43 offenses. The investigation is ongoing and police are seeking assistance from the public.
