Strathroy-Caradoc welcomed its new council during the inaugural meeting last night. While a handful of veteran politicians returned to the forefront, a couple of new faces sounded eager during their opening remarks to immediately make an impact. Mayor Joanne Vanderheyden who was sworn in for her third term, talked about the excitement she sees in everyone sitting at the table.
The meeting began with the national anthem sang by Company members of Youth Performing Arts in Strathroy. There was also an expression of thanks by Pastor Peter Hoytema and each councilor had a chance to make opening remarks.
