Low-income workers in Ontario received some good news in the new year.
Lambton-Kent-Middlesex MPP and Minister of Infrastructure Monte McNaughton says the Provincial Government has introduced a new bill that will help low-income workers. It’s called the Low-income Individuals and Families Tax Credit.
The tax cut is for those earning $30,000 a year or less. According to the bill they would not pay any Provincial income tax. The change will apply to 1.1 million Ontario Workers averaging a savings of $850 a year for one person.
