Today myFM wraps up its 2018 Year In Review and only fitting we finish things off with the individual who will be wrapping up a long standing political career this fall being Lambton-Kent-Middlesex MP Bev Shipley. The long-standing Lambton-Kent-Middlesex MP says 2018 was an interesting year, filled with highs and lows. The highs being Andrew Scheer now leading the PC party, and Shipley working with local business owners to fight federal tax reform. The lows were what he called terrible NAFTA negotiations, and the tariffs which he says handcuffs local workers. Looking ahead to 2019 as his career winds down, Shipley reflected on what he’s going to miss the most when his final day eventually arrives.
Shipley said he particularly enjoyed the Remembrance Day ceremonies, and getting to know the people which make the area as strong as it is.
