myFM continues to look back on 2018 and onwards to 2019. The growth of the area came with challenges this year, Strathroy-Caradoc Police Service Chief Mark Campbell says, but the partnerships they have with numerous agencies allow them to quickly and effectively tackle any issues. Some of these partnerships address addictions, something Campbell says became prominent in 2018.
Campbell also noted a spike in vehicle thefts and break and enters that were seen throughout Strathroy-Caradoc. For 2019, Campbell says the SCPS is purchasing a second automatic license plate reader to help combat human trafficking as part of a $50,000 grant application they were successful in getting.
