As of this past Saturday December 1st, you are now not able to park your vehicle overnight on town streets to allow for the roads crew to clear snow whether there’s snow on the ground or not. This means all streets in Strathroy, Mt. Brydges, Melbourne, Campbellville and Delaware West. This By-Law came into effect with amalgamation in 2001 and Director of Building, Planning and Waste Services Matthew Stephenson says no exceptions will be made.
Vehicles found on the road during the ban and between the hours of 2am and 7am could face a fine of $15 and if the fine is not paid after 15 days, it will rise with non-conformance. The Overnight Parking ban runs until March 31st.
