All this week is National Volunteers Week and just like thousands of other communities, Strathroy-Caradoc prides itself on its volunteer base. Director of Parks and Recreation Rob Lilbourne says we wouldn't have as strong a community without our volunteers.

RECOVERY OF TWO STOLEN VEHICLES AND ONE MISSING

Police recover two stolen vehicles. On April 19th a silver 2006 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck Ontario licence 7070HR was stolen from the car pool parking lot at Highway 402 and Longwoods Road.

ELECTRONIC VOTING IN LAMBTON SHORES FOR 2018 ELECTION

Lambton Shores has voted in favour of allowing electronic voting via internet and phone in the next election in 2018. Mayor Bill Weber says that for the past few elections the municipality did mail in ballots, but now the municipality decided to do this along with the entire County of Lambton.

Arrests in armed robbery. On Saturday February 25th, 2017 Lambton OPP was dispatched to a commercial building on Nauvoo Road, Warwick Township for an armed robbery.

NEON CRAB WORLD RECORD ATTEMPT

It will be a pair of brand new World Records if Manager Jay Slaven from Strathroy's Neon Crab can get it done. Starting this Sunday he will attempt two records in the art of Tattooing and the reason he says is simple.

SIU INVESTIGATING MIDDLESEX OPP ARREST

The SIU has been called in following an "interaction" during an arrest by the Middlesex OPP. Police responsed to Centre Road at 2:20 a.m. on Thursday after getting a report of a theft in progress. Officers, along with the Canine Unit, arrived on scene and placed a man under arrest.
