It was another sold out year for the Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital Foundation and their annual Busting out breast cancer masquerade gala on Wednesday. CEO of the SMGH Foundation, Sue McLean says the local breast cancer statistics are staggering.

Within the span of 5 years the Shuttleworth family has lost over 40 feet of their yard to erosion from ground water and the Tames River. After what they say was a failed plea to Strathroy-Caradoc Council, the Shuttleworth family in Mount Brydges have launched a 3 million dollar lawsuit.

Within the span of 5 years the Shuttleworth family has lost over 40 feet of their yard to erosion from ground water and the Tames River. In an attempt to slow the rate of erosion, staff at the Strathroy-Caradoc Municipality had an idea that could re-route the ground water to the Tames River.

As the leaves begin to fall the Strathroy-Caradoc Fire Chief, Brian George says it's important to call in controlled burns in town and in the rural areas of the county. Chief George says there is a process that needs to be followed so fire trucks don't respond when it isn't necessary.
