SOLDIER AND SHOOTER IN OTTAWA IDENTIFIED

Wednesday morning's attack on Parliament Hill?s Centre Block and the National War Memorial cost the life of one Canadian soldier and one male suspect. Federal sources identified the suspected shooter as Michael Zehaf-Bibeau. He is a man in his early 30's who was familiar to Canadian authorities.

Parliament Hills remains on lockdown this hour after a soldier standing guard at the National War Memorial in Ottawa was shot this morning. Witnesses say the shooter immediately ran towards Parliament Hill, where it's reported gunfire was heard.

A Canadian soldier standing guard at the National War Memorial in Ottawa has been shot by an unknown gunman and there are reports of gunfire inside the halls of Parliament. Ottawa police confirmed they had a call at 9:52 a.m. with a report of shots fired.

COSTCO ACCIDENT TRIAL DATE

A trial date has been set for June 1st, 2015 for the woman in connection with a fatal crash at a Costco store in London. 65 year old Ruth Berger is facing two counts of criminal negligence causing death and one count of criminal negligence causing bodily harm.

First responders are in the spotlight now with the attempt to pass bill 2 to help put a stop to traumatic stress among emergency first responders. The campaign has become a highlight after the suicide count among first responders reached 25 deaths since April 29th of this year.
