POLICE REPORTING RASH OF THEFTS

Strathroy-Caradoc Police are investigating a rash of vehicle thefts and attempted vehicle thefts from Mt. Brydges and the rural area of Strathroy-Caradoc. Since May 1st, there have been 13 reports of vehicles being stolen.

TOWN SAYS FARMERS MARKET MOVE NOT A BAD IDEA

As myFM informed you Monday morning, changes are underway to the Strathroy Farmer's Market and its location potentially moving forward. The market is hoping to move downtown somewhere to create more exposure if they receive permission to close the road from the municipality.

City of London managers have moved in to take on the critical roles left by CUPE Local 101 inside workers after they officially walked off the job Monday morning. According to union representatives the union is on strike because management refused to offer a contract without concessions.

MIKE'S WALK FOR BRAIN INJURIES

Glencoe's own Mike Hamilton has set out on another journey, this time 50 kms from London to Glencoe to raise money and awareness for the London Brain Injury Association. This marks Hamilton's 4th walk and in total he has raised well over $15,000.

TURKEY POULTS PULLED FROM TURKEY FESTIVAL

Some fuzzy friends will be missed this year at Turkeyfest in Strathroy. The decision has come down from Cuddy's that the poults won't be available for families to see and pet as part of the event due to the avian flu outbreak in Southern Ontario.

FARMERS MARKET TO MOVE DOWNTOWN ON TRIAL BASIS

Organizers have voted and they've agreed to make a few changes to the way the Strathroy Farmer's Market is run. For 4 weeks the market will move to downtown Strathroy on Front Street from Frank Street to Caradoc Street from June 13th to July 4th.
