100TH INTERNATIONAL PLOWING MATCH STARTS TODAY

The day many people have been waiting for is here, the International Plowing Match officially starts today. The IPM is being held in Walton, and Chair of the IPM Jacquie Bishop says that she is honoured to be the chair for the 100th IPM. Bishop says there will be so much to see and do.

Police were kept busy over the weekend conducting traffic enforcement initiatives. Middlesex County OPP had their sights set on the big 4 major traffic infractions being speeding, distracted driving, improper seatbelt use and agressive driving.

The Strathroy-Caradoc Police are asking the public's help in identifying a shoplifter that took off from the Loss Prevention Officer at the Real Canadian Superstore on September 15th. If anyone can recognize this man please contact Strathroy-Caradoc Police.

The owner and family of a one year-old English bulldog named Stella are still looking for her. Stella went missing on Tuesday last week at around 3:30 to 4 p.m. from Petrolia Line, south of Watford.

ANOTHER STOLEN VEHICLE

Another stolen vehicle. On September 12th between the hours of 9am and 3pm, a tan coloured 2004 GMC Safari Van was stolen from the parking lot at 9218 Longwoods Road. The van was then seen around 3:15pm speeding on Maitland Drive and Christina Road.

INTERNATIONAL PLOWING MATCH WILL HAVE A TENT CITY

The International Plowing Match which is taking place in Walton starting tomorrow until September 23rd. A big component of the IPM will be the tented city. Co-Chair of the IPM Tented City Jeff McGavin says that the tented city will be quite the spectacle.
